Do you know this is the appropriate time to change your destiny? You may be going though tough times at the moment and you may be wondering why all these. Sometimes when things turn the other way round and life seem to be going uphill, it’s time to stop, think and rethink.

Before you start blaming God or the devil, you may need first to realize that nothing happens by supprise to God, He knows the end before the beginning (Isaiah 46:1). On the other hand, man is responsible for his decisions. God will sometimes allow us have our own way but not without consequences and pain.

Since our God is so loving and caring as a Father, when we turn to Him in repentance, He is able to change our situations and as well turn our sufferings and pain to our own advantage (Romans 8:28). After we are broken before Him, He is able to turn our tests into a testimony and use it as a ladder to attain our destiny.

Before we were born there was already a blueprint of our destiny. The Bible says that God knew you even before you were formed in your mother’s womb (Jeremiah 1:5). When we indulge ourselves into waywardness, sinfulness and rebel against God, our destiny is delayed and this is why many people die before reaching to their prophetic destiny.

Train is long, but to stay within the journey it has to stay on the two railways. For us to reach to both our earthly and eternal destinies, we must stay aligned with the our destiny MAKER – GOD.

Let’s look at some of the common enemies to our destiny.

Destroyers of our Prophetic Destiny

God is a planner and has a good plan but you must yield to the God’s plan and time to change your destiny. However, you must beware of these destroyers otherwise you may not attain your destiny.

There may be more but we going to discuss FIVE DESTINY DESTROYERS you must be aware of. These are: –

  1. Your Character

Just like a tree which grows with a worm in the stem then it is rotten inside, if you grow with wrong character, your destiny will be affected even though you may appear successful in the eyes of people.
If your character is faulty, your life will have so many loopholes of the devil’s attacks. For example, the sin of immorality has destroyed so many people who could have been otherwise very successful.

Your character is formed by your habits (those things you have tolerated in life) and habits determines your character. You must always check your life to see if there are any negative practices that may eventually destroy your life.

However, in John 14:18-20, Jesus said that ‘I will not leave you as orphans. Jesus also said, “because I live you will also live” (verse 19). Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit to stand on our behalf. The Holy Spirit is the unlimited Jesus.

You cannot fulfil the prophetic destiny without the Holy Spirit who knows your weakness yet He has has given you the mandate. He’s the one who knows what you ought to become in order to achieve your prophetic destiny. The Holy Spirit knows the mind of God, 1Corinthians 2:11-13.

Eli’s sons developed a habit of living a sinful life and their father did nothing about it (1 Samuel 2:27-30). Due to this, God changed his mind on Eli’s household for dishonoring God in the ministry. This is a lesson to all fathers.

Samson played around with his calling and didn’t work upon his character on the issue of immorality and this was a reason of his downfall. When he finally told about the secret of his power to Delilah and he was shaved, he woke up normally thinking that he will act as before but he didn’t know that the Lord had already left him, Judges 16:19-22.

When God leaves He lives everything with you but His presence departs. A church may be full of members but the Lord left a long time ago, all you are left with is a godless congregation who are but led by their flesh. You will find family that was rich and God left they sit on car chairs in the sitting room.

This is why Joseph had to ran away from Potiphar’s wife in order to preserve his destiny.
There are many people who do not understand what they carry within themselves that’s why they destroy themselves by indulging into sinfulness.

2. Greed and Covetousness

Gehaz was to inherit the mantle from Elisha but due to greed he didn’t attain his destiny. He lost this mantle and instead inherited Naaman’s leprosy for taking things he wasn’t supposed to take, 2 Kings 5.

The book Jeremiah 17:9-10, teaches us that the heart is very deceitful beyond anything else. May God help us to deal with greed that may be hidden in our hearts.

Godliness with contentment is a great gain. Greed and covetousness has made people to get involved with things they are not supposed to. God is highly concerned with our patience and contentment until the appointed time for doing something is due. Luke1:80, so the child grew and was in the desert till the day of his manifestation. God does not market unfinished product.

You must wait until your time. Don’t rush to do things if the time is not yet ripe.

3. Disobeying Divine Instructions

It always important when you understand your prophetic destiny it’s important to have an hearing ear to listen and follow instructions.

Jonah disobeyed divine instructions and everything around him rioted.
You must be very keen to follow divine instructions
1 Samuel 13:13, Saul didn’t follow God’s instructions and his destiny was cut short.
Acts 26:19, as a vision carrier, you must understand the instruction that God has set for you. You must be very careful to follow the divine instructions and be able to stand as per the vision that God has given you.

4. Fear and Discouragements

Sometimes you can fear to undertake God’s mandate because they think they don’t have the capacity. It’s God who gives us the capacity that we require to undertake his mandate.
Many people fear even to start what God has already instructed them to.
Joshua 1:5, No one will be able to stand up against you. Be strong and courageous because you will lead these people.

Joshua was scared of undertaking the mandate that God had already given him from Moses. If we trust God, He has everything that we require to manifest your full potential.
May God activate every dormant potential in me in Jesus name by the power of the Holy Spirit.
May God coordinate the necessary graces I need to make things happen according to my destiny.
The Inability to Pay the Cost

Many people with the seed of greatness are not ready to pay the cost that it takes to become what God ahs purposed you to be.

The first step is to understand that you have been called and this is the driving force. Then next you must understand the cost involved.

God after calling you has given you the grace to pray and fast so that you can become what it takes. You must be willing the pay the cost.

You must understand what it takes for you to become what you must become.
Many people have been unable to attain their destiny because they cannot pay the cost. You must be willing to surrender your life and loose it before finding it back.

There are many people who so great in the spiritual realms but they have refused to pay the cost to activate their manifestation.

Because Jesus lives I can face tomorrow and my tomorrow is brighter than today. Nothing should stop me in Jesus name.

Amen.
